BIO
Haley Gadzik is a part-time sculptor, some-time actor, one-time plumber, and full-time nanny/"Birthday Associate" originally from Bellevue, WA. She is figuring it out. She is endlessly interested in scrappy physical mediums a la cardboard and copper pipe, and in the ways that people collaborate. She moved to Chicago after graduating from Whitman College with a degree in Psychology and Theater, and has received training at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's NTI and Celebration Barn Theater.
INSPIRED BY
- people who are committed to honesty, who are true to themselves and others
- work that finds the fantastic in the mundane, and vice versa
- relationships that don’t fit the molds we are used to; the ways love takes its own shape between individuals
- (this one I can't explain, but) Akira window displays.
EXPLORING
Officially I am creating a piece of theater about my experiences working as a plumbing apprentice; unofficially I am exploring ways to keep my creativity alive, in whatever form that takes, while moving through career and life changes.
