BIO

Hi! My name is Jana, and I'm a documentary artist and poet. 

I grew up in Texas -- not the best fit for a skinny kid who sunburned quickly, cried easily, and never answered a question loudly enough the first time around. In spite of this soft-spokenness, I signed up for the school talent show each year and performed with a bewildering intensity that nobody really knew what to do with. I'm still pretty much that person, but now I wear sunscreen :) 

As of 2021, I am also the Founder and Creative Director of Whole Heart Remarks, where I interview loved ones to create custom audio heirlooms for weddings, birthdays, funerals and other complex and meaningful life moments.

Thrift stores, the library, YouTube, and the divine tension between the cardio and weightlifting areas of my gym.

EXPLORING:

I'll be focused mainly on expanding/experimenting with my five year business plan, but I also hope to make progress on a couple of other creative projects.
