BIO
I am a director and community engaged theater maker based in Brooklyn. My recent work includes a multi-year collaboration with Tijuana Hace Teatro in Tijuana, Mexico; I am the co-creator and co-director of "The Frontera Project," a bi-lingual, interactive theater experience about life at the US/Mexico Border. I am also a mom, a friend, a partner, and a really good cook.
WHAT I MAKE
Theater, especially in ways that actively engage the audience.
INSPIRED BY
Collaboration, walking in the woods, all kinds of live performance, going to museums, reading, baking, travel, trying things I'm bad at (even though I kind of hate doing that), meeting new people, my (young adult) children and the way they see the world.
EXPLORING
I am in the middle of the beginning of developing a piece about loneliness and connection that I began in the last Midwives circle, and am very much still craving the kind of support I get from that experience.
